No, she died of colon cancer, after trying "alternative medicine" treatments in Mexico, and scorning standard US medical treatment (that perhaps could have saved her life, since this disease is often curable with surgery). I know this to be a fact because I was her physician at her last hospitalization, in Chula Vista, a southern suburb of San Diego.

You have her birthday listed wrong in your Biography section. Susan was born 1932. She was 58 when she died of cancer. Thank you.

We named our daughter Susan Marie -after Susan Oliver- when she was born in 1965. While I was in VIETNAM in 1966 -I received a picure and letter from Susan -after I had written to her to tell her that We named our daughter after her. She sent my Susan a birthday picture too. I will always be a fan of Susan Oliver.
