Elizabeth Moss
Most recently, Moss appeared opposite Ted Danson in the ensemble comedy Mumford, written and directed by four-time Academy Award nominee Lawrence Kasdan. She also recently starred opposite Susan Sarandon and Stephen Dorff in HBO Pictures' Earthly Possessions. She will next be seen in the feature film The Joyriders, opposite Academy Award winner Martin Landau.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Moss comes from a family with a strong foundation in the arts. Her father owns a record company and manages such musicians as Chick Corea and Mark Isham; her mother is one of the top two female blues harmonica players in the world who freelances with jazz greats like B.B. King and James Colton; and her youngest brother was playing the drums professionally by the time he was eight years old. Likewise, Moss, who graduated from high school two years early, began training in ballet at the age of five. She has attended a number of prestigious dance programs, and, most recently, turned down an invitation to study at the American School of Ballet in New York in order to focus on her flourishing acting career.
Moss made her screen debut at the age of six and has spent the past ten years honing her skills. Her feature film credits also include A Thousand Acres opposite Michelle Pfeiffer; Separate Lives with Jim Belushi; and the independent feature Imaginary Crimes, with Harvey Keitel. She also voiced the lead character in Hanna-Barbera's animated feature Once Upon A Forest.
In addition to the big screen, Moss has amassed an impressive list of television credits, including her portrayal of a young Ashley Judd in the CBS miniseries Naomi & Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge; the CBS remake of Gypsy starring Bette Midler; and a starring role in ABC's popular adventure movie, Escape to Witch Mountain.
Moss can currently be seen on the acclaimed NBC drama The West Wing, in which she portrays the President's daughter.
