| by BEN GREGO I was 12 yrs. old when I saw Mangano in "ANNA" and have never been the same!! what a presence on the screen!! I contacted her daughter, Raffaella by mail to ask if she knew when or if her mom's films would ever be on DVD or VHS and she did not know...Since then I did find Bitter Rice and Anna both on VHS but neither on DVD as of yet....let's hope these 2 fine films are soon to be on DVD!! but in the meantime I at least have the VHS..also Mambo is on VHS also....also read that she was the original choice for the character played by Anouk Aimee in La Dolce Vita!! what a let down!! to have Silvana in that masterpiece of a film would have been,,,,,well, I'd be on cloud nine! but alas, it was not to be; her husband, producer De Laurentis, was jealous of Mastroianni!! oh well...we can at least imaging what it would have been like!!!!!!!! Would like to hear from other Silvana fans out there!!!!!! Thanks... Comment on this... |

| by nasrin faruqi-das Though I donīt belong to Silvana Manganoīs age group, still I feel attracted towards this gigantic beauty, who doesnīt even seem to be remembered by many, as apparently no pictures of hers are to be found in the vast Internet domain.
