Martha is a fab actress. I have two of her movies, both involving the talented, gorgeous River Phoenix (The Mosquito Coast, Running on Empty) and I just love em'. I have seen another one of her movies, Parenthood. It was funny Big smile but I didn't know she sings. Is she any good?

I really like Martha Plimpton. She is not your typical Hollywood bubblegum stars. She is a talented actress, although I am not sure about her singing. She sings in Colin Fitz Lives! and I wanted to know if that was real or not. If so, double my comment about being a really great actress.

Martha Plimpton is really one of the luckiest people in the world. I totally envy her going out with River Phoenix because he is SO gorgeous and talented. Martha is also really cool, I enjoyed her role in Running On Empty. Both these great actors played a great part. While River rests in peace, Martha will live on to be a wonderful actress. You go girl!!!

WOW, ur a bully. What you said about Martha is not very nice. You wouldn't like it if someone said that about you, would you? Martha is a fantastic actress and a lucky gal to have been with River. River didn't care about looks and if you were a HUGE fan like me, you would know that River said he likes girls that are nice and not nessiccarily pretty. Damn, if you could swear in forums, man I would say alot of stuff about you. Learn to shut ur mouth before someone does it for you.

questions for Martha (Wed Feb 25, 2004 12:51am ET)report post
by Thomas Bird
I'm a really big Martha Plimpton fan. She is one of my all-time favorite actresses. She's smart and pretty and interesting. I wish I could meet her and ask some questions even though she'd probably think I'm just a dumb fan. ha ha.
first off Id ask:
1. what do you remember the most about River and do you still think about him often?
2. Which movie did you enjoy working on the most?
3. How hard was it going from a kids movie like the Goonies to the more serious roles in Mosquito Coast and Running on Empty?
4. Do you prefer New York or California?
5. Do your Grandparents still live in San Mateo, CA? (I live there Smile)

An idea inspired from viewing the documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger". (Sat Aug 23, 2003 3:59am ET)report post
by Jean Himebaugh
Dear Martha Plimpton,

I'm not sure if you really read these guestbook entries or not, but by chance you do, I would like to submit an idea for a movie.

I know this sounds corny or even naive - but I was watching HBO the other night and saw Rosanna's Documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger" and it inspired me to joint down this idea for a specific part for any middle-aged actress to play that would be interested.

In a nutshell - it could be a comedy, but I prefer it to be a drama in order to strike a "heart-felt" emotion to the audience and convey a message about how woman they are seen by others and by themselves.

I am sincerely interested in telling this idea to an actress or a director who would take this into consideration seriously. But if this forum doesn't get read by Martha Plimpton - I feel really stupid and silly for even taking the time to write this entry.

Please reply if this entry truly appeals to you, with honesty and sincerity.
