| by Chris I'm a student in the UK currently studying media. As a project I am studying Michael Moore's techniques. I am putting together research in order to write an essay entitled, "What techniques does Michael Moore use to represent American Politics within his films?". I would be very interested to learn more about what other people thought of this. | by Simona I saw Sicko and only after I saw it I realised how hard is the life for a sick person in the USA...I could hardly believe what I saw in the movie...thought that USA was the country of the rich and healthy...now I know that it isn't...I am from Romania and even though a few Americans might know where Romania is, I would like them to know that our medical services are better than yours...and I think it's time for you to do smth... | by Hampus 16 year sweden Reading the other comments I can not stop wondering if you all really think what the message of the film are? Is it just a way of getting money and attantion? I strongley believe that Moore did not do this or any other film for any of that particular matter, of course the publicity where no wrong. What I mean is that according to me you should all be thanking him for making the litle ones heard. And if he would not be doing what he is made to do, who would? Think about what he is doing/ standing for may and will have consequenses for you and the next generations, that is I that Iam ryin to say. | by bbc I am a Canadian who normally enjoys and appreciates Moore's causes and efforts. Unfortunately as a tax paying Canadian citizen, I was very disturbed by his message in his latest movie SICKO. We understand American frustrations with their health system and empathize, but to advertise Americans to jump borders to abuse the already VERY strained CANADIAN health care system is WRONG, disrespectful and disgraceful. Yes, help your people by getting the word out and hope that they become strong enough to fight the injustice, but DO NOT burden other systems with your problems. Our health care system is wonderful, but far from perfect. We have understaffed hospitals and overflowing patient waiting lists and ERs. Please dont dump more on us. We pay heavily to provide basic health care to our country members. Teaching people on how to take advantage of others is never noble. Comment on this... |

It has to be some kind of joke or corrupted politician making some of these. -You have to be kidding me- With that said I will refrain from satirical comments or even quote any of the comments I disagree upon. The world is changing and is backed by the all powerful dollar. Look around you and if you watch close enough and think hard enough you will see how things are going downhill. Humanity has just came out of the forests to learn how to destroy its own self in only 5,000 years. The advancements achieved in society as a whole are outstanding and beyond what the English language can describe. On the other hand you have one percent of the world controlling eighty percent of the money, the richest nation of the world borrowing money from a central bank with interest paid by tax dollars, an almost communist government taking rights away from a democratic nation thats 'supposed to have constitutional rights' and among many other things I wont get into (including a money making war just like the previous others it has created to support the bottomless pockets of politicians). If anybody reading this knows anything about communist Germany can you think of the ways it became 'communist' Germany? Is the United States not doing the same? The only thing I don't see are the camps training our children how to be Nazi's - oh wait the whole damned country is becoming a camp. Let's see what else can I say and not start a war since I am leaving my e-mail address on this site. The United States Treasury Department is a central bank. The first Americans sailed away to create the greatest nation ever known in history. Taxation, central banking and government control among many other things was the motive behind the movement. Now to how the Treasury Department works without a lot of detail so go look for yourself and learn about the making and breaking and then remaking of the US Central Banking System. By the way don't forget your federal tax dollars pays for all those interest fee's placed on the dollar bill you earn?! Also note that it's against the constitution to pay federal taxes and not ONE single law says you have to. Now don't get me wrong I do believe in taxation but only at a state level - how it's supposed to be. For all you ignorant folks out there who will reply with 'well how would we pay for roads schools military US postal service and the billionaire presidents paycheck?' Those are mostly paid at state levels. Where do all the federal taxation dollars go to? The system was not designed like this I will let you read a little history to learn the truth are where your money is going and how much of it just seems to vanish. Not going into any conspiracies and basing it all on facts I will now go onto who really leads the decision making process of the United States of America. I'm sure most would agree that every president in modern times of the US is a mere puppet to lobbyists and the rest of the one percent of the population who have resources to burn (including oil from other countries, for example Bush). So if you took all the poorest people in the US (almost the whole population per ratio in income and assets) and had all of them vote for somebody (not going to happen) who will stand up and speak out what the majority wants then their would be a revolution in the country. I will let you figure out why thats not happening and who/what is behind it. Now before I write a whole book on this subject; my point will now be stated - I do not understand how anybody can disagree with anybody standing up for a change in the democracy we call our nation. For one to say that Mr Moore is doing bad or is only doing the things he does for his own good then you are ignorant and blind to reality. The furtue is only a moment away and anybody who supports the things going on right now should be in shame and sentenced to a harsh reality check. For people to stand up is what this nation is about and I can't believe so many people can sit and do -nothing at all- just like *YOU -Joseph Maybe not 'you' but most people are doing nothing... so you is a good implication.
