| by Jennie People, if you are interested in purchasing many of Mare Winningham's flicks simply go to Amazon.com and purchase them at the cheapest prices you ppl wouldn believe. I got my copy of Georgia last week for only 3.00! And again yes that really was Mare singing in Georgia, just to answer that person's question about whether she was really singing or not. One thing is for sure she really put JJL's voice to real shame in that one. LOL! Comment on this... |

It was about a perfectly normal married lady ( Mare Winningham - took me ages to find her name ) who is suddenly without income, with a young daughter and finally homeless. She eventually agrees to give up the daughter to a foster home while she continues in homelessness. It was one of the most gut wrenching stories I've ever seen - Does anyone know its name? I was only in grade school at the time and after seeing the film, I use to stay up late trying to catch it again to record the film, I had succeded but my siblings recorded over it. Now that I am an adult, I have been searching for this film to purchase it. Please help me locate this film so that i may enjoy it once again. | by Stefani I, too, have been looking for the movie 'Freedom' for many years now... what an impression it made on me when it came out in 1981; I haven't forgotten it all these years. Ms. Winningham was such a powerful performer, even at that tender age -- and still is. Does anyone know where to find a copy of this movie, or where to write to obtain a copy?
