| by William This is one of many sad stories in Hollywood. What is more sad is there is nothing of her left for those of us who mourn her. With her ashes scattered over the pacific ocean and no funeral service and no head stone to visit and put flowers on, its like she never existed. Buffy was a cute character, but I'll always remember Anissa, the pretty little girl that became a beautiful woman for such a short time. I believe she is now one of God's favorite Angel's. | by Brian Keith O'Hara Anissa Jones, "Buffy" on Family Affair would have been 45 today March 11, 2003 Greta Garbo was Hollywood's number one female star when she quit acting. Anissa Jones finished a five year run as "Buffy" on Family Affair, a top ten CBS TV show, when she quit acting. Both were stars, but neither woman ever saw herself that way, and neither ever acted "Hollywood". The only apparent difference between the two is that Greta Garbo is remembered as a tough woman: an individualist who chose who own path in life; and Anissa Jones is remembered as an object of pity and sorrow: a tempest tossed waif, buffeted and overwhelmed by a sea of troubles. To me this seems strange, two women do an extraordinary thing: they walk away from money, fame, and success; as far as I can tell there is only one real difference between them: Greta Garbo was 40 years old and Anissa Jones was 13 when they walked away from Hollywood. | by edwardwoodbine what i have read on some of the website sounds like she was a bright person even on family affair she smiling even on the mike douglas tape i got free anissa jones was on it and was bright and happy but when hollywood did not let aniss jones grow up she was mad and i could not understand why hollywood would not let her growup and i ws very mad at ehollywood for lieing about anissa. when i watch it about her death in 1976 i was stunned but reading the websites about how she died i ws mad how could her doctor sell the drugs that killed at a young ages Well thats my comments ed Comment on this... |
