Julia Louis Dreyfus (Sun Dec 5, 2004 10:54am ET)report post
by Mulva
I also loved Julia on Seinfeld and was hoping her TV show would succeed. However, I am continually amazed at how talented people do not recognize when their shows are doomed to failure. Watching Ellie was not funny most of the time and filled with slapstick. Too sad. Her voice is wonderful I just saw her guesting on "Ellen" and was quite disappointed in her attitude. It seemed she is not happy to have been connected with that best-ever show. Were it not for her getting the part of Elaine, and doing a super job with it, most of us would not have heard of her. She seemed to put down being recognized as the character she played so well for so long.

Carroll O'Conner never felt that way about Archie Bunker. He apparently embraced that part and went on.

Resentment is not a pretty picture, Julia.

Amazement II (Mon Sep 6, 2004 2:15pm ET)report post
by Smartboy
I am calling this message "Amazement II" because yesterday, I already used the term "Amazement" for the title of another message on this site. The page that I am referring to is the one devoted to Helen Hunt. I would now like to tell the readers of this message what exactly I am amazed about. While writing my last sentence, I realized that it is two years to the day that I submitted my last message on this page! In any case, I am very amazed that in the two years in between the time that I submitted my last message about Julia and the present, only "two" other people have submitted comments on this page. Given how beautiful and talented Julia is, I find this "very" amazing! It also amazes me that so few people have submitted comments about Helen Hunt. Just in case anyone is interested in what I have written about her, my message is the most recent one posted on her page. On top of this, I am the most recent person to post messages regarding Amy Pietz, Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Arquette. If all this is not enough, I am the first and "only" person to submit a comment about Blythe Danner! I would be very interested in reading what other people think of my comments about any of these lovely little ladies.

chinese signs mixed up (Fri Feb 21, 2003 9:24pm ET)report post

this site is giving inaccurate information regarding "Chinese signs" - for example, Julia, born January of 1961 is the sign of the Rat, NOT the Ox.

Feeling Sorry (Fri Sep 6, 2002 7:44pm ET)report post
by Smartboy
What I am feeling sorry about is the fact that Julia's new TV series did not make it. I think that she is a very talented actress and a very pretty lady. In my opinion, she deserves to have her own program. Back when she was Elaine from Seinfeld, I liked her character a lot. If there is anyone out there who knows what she is doing these days, I would be interested in hearing from you. It has been some time since I have read anything new about her. Another thing that I feel sorry about is the fact that I have never managed to get a letter or an autographed picture or anything like that from her. I have written her dozens of letters at addresses that I have found on the Internet. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows anything about whether she is willing to respond to fan mail. Before I sign off, there is one more thing that I would like to mention. In addition to being the first person to comment on Julia, last night, I became the first person to make comments about three other actresses! The actresses that I am referring to are Pamela Reed, Helen Hunt and Lea Thompson. If anyone wants to know what I think of those three babes, just punch in my name at this site!
