I just finished seeing The Emperor's New Clothes and kept wondering who is this beautiful, remarkable and ever sensuous actress. A mesmerizing countenance and even a more captivating screen presence. Had to go online and find out. So sublimely and yet powerfully she fills that role. Ironically, I had seen her before in Mifune a few years ago and until recently in High Fidelity but don't feel the characters did justice to her acting ability (maybe Mifune) until viewing this latest movie. It is bewildering to me to think that we get to know in depth and fall in love with the characters we experience in a 2 hour movie and yet never are able to experience the encompassing being of the ones around us, our loved ones; oh the power of visual media.
