Teenage Movies (Sat Jan 7, 2006 12:47pm ET)report post
by Jason K
I have been a fan of many John Hughes movies ever since I was 5 years old. I remember watching "Vacation" and "Breakfast Club" and just laugh the whole way through. As I got older, I introduced "Weird Science", "Breakfast Club", and "Ferris Bueller" to many of my friends. They imediately loved them as much as I did. I met my future wife in high school and showed her my favorite movie "Breakfast Club" and in return she showed me hers, "Sixteen Candles". This was the first time I ever watched this movie and again I loved it. I was now finding out that John Hughes was responsible for the movies I enjoyed watching the most. During college I headed a group of students in a Communications class and we chose "Breakfast Club" as a movie to depict how teenage students communicate with eachother and form a bond even though they come from varying backgrounds. We of course got an "A". Some college roommates of mine got me a copy of "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" for me for my birthday. I had never seen it before and again enjoyed it very much. It seems all of my friends and family members all enjoy movies by John Hughes and will continue watching them for a long time. Thanks John! Keep it up!
