When I was born I was to be "Sandy" but I was born with my father's black hair. My mom didn't think Sandy would be appropriate, so my dad came up with Joan for a favorite movie star of his, Miss Joan Leslie. Once that became my legal name, my hair fell out and grew back a beautiful sandy color! I guess it was meant to be Smile
