Gloria Foster
The late distinguished actress Gloria Foster studied at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, making her earliest professional appearances with the University of Chicago County Theater. In 1963 Foster was awarded the prestigious Obie Award for her powerful performance in In White America. The following year, she was honored with a Theatre World Award. She was last seen on Broadway in the award-winning Having Our Say.
Foster's feature film debut was in 1963's Cool World, and her feature credits include The Comedians, Man and Boy, City of Hope and The Matrix.
Foster's many television credits include guest appearances on Soul Food, Law & Order, The Cosby Show, Mod Squad and I Spy.
