| by Betty Long I did not know of Betty Field, but after watching her in Sherpard of the Field, with John Wayne, I wanted to know more . I thought she was so pretty and her acting was great! I have seen some of the other movies she appeared but did not remember her. I will look for her in the future. I just loved her performance and her natural beauty in SOTH. Comment on this... |

| by Burton V. Foreman My God! I just saw King's Row again (February 7, 2006) on TCM. I always thought Betty Field was a great actress, one of those who never got the recognition she deserved. Wasn't she also in "The Southerner?" I'll never forget her performance in "Of Mice and Men." (It was a film my mother absolutley forbid me to see, but I saw it, anyway!) Comment on this... |

| by Dave Sheehan Well I guess I am the last living Betty Field fan--I was used to getting blank looks at the mention of her name even when she was alive--at least DVDs mean that there is the possibility of a new generation recognising her brilliance in films like of Mice and Men, Kings Row, and The Great Gatsby(she was the perfect Daisy) if anyone reads this and knows what I'm talking about--drop me a line.--Dave.
