After seeing Confidence, I had to ask who is this Edward Burns guy? He was sexy as hell in this movie. I started researching him on the Internet , rented all of his movies, and found whatever ever I could - and there's a lot out there on him. For one thing, his role as Jake is perfect casting for him. Eddie's definitely got the charm. What really interesting is that there's no middle ground with him. People really love him (mos people do) or they think he stinks. I say his intention is strong, he exudes confidence all of the place, yet shows a lot of heart. He kind of reminds of Kevin Costner. Kevin and Edward really aren't great actors, but their charisma and sexy persona makes their roles work. I just want to see either of them as often as I can. Ed on the other hand is a gifted young writer, who is gaining experience. I would like to see him in a role where he thinks he is in control of everyone and everything around him only to have his world come crashing down. He then learns to master himself, and in so doing, his life comes together with ease and grace. Or, is this a message I'd like for him to get about life? ;)
