| by DM HUGHELY UNDERRATED! Why doesn't she win loads of awards? Loved her as Ma Larkin, absolute delight and probably the most attractive she ever looked in her life and then the terrifying Miss Trunchball. She was outstanding in that and I barely recoginised her.I also like Rosemary and Thyme. Extremely versatile and should be regarded as so. Comment on this... |

| by San Francisco My 7-year old daughter adores Miss Trunchbull. She even loves the wrinkles. I don't understand that one. She just really enjoys watching her to the point of even wanting to be her, ha. Comment on this... |

| by Jo Baxter & Brian Whiley We are glad to see that there are other people out there who appreciate the gamut (A through to B) of Ferres' talent as a 'classic inspired actor'. We ourselves haven't seen Matilda (clearly her opus magum) and unaware of her 'flexibilty' in 'Buds': nonetheless she does a good fat lass. Comment on this... |

| by christopher davis I believe that Pam Ferris displays the quintessential brilliance of a classic inspired actor. To revel in her obnoxious qualities in Matilda had me convinced that the role was carried out by a versatile male; so vitriolic and spendidly over the top was the portrayal that I was determined to find what other roles she had undertaken. I was completely astonished to learn of her flexibility having loved her role in the Darling buds of May, but not appreciating who it was. A quiet, unassuming but brilliant achiever. | by Jo Baxter & Brian Whiley We've always thought Pam was (and is) one of the UK's best and well-rounded actresses. Gritty, down-to-earth, her huge screen presence makes her, for us, the poor man's Helen Mirren. Comment on this... |
