by Eva C Kimberly, You are such a wonderful and beautiful actress. I especially adored you in Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Many women can relate to the role you played...you became intimate with the role of Helen...I wanted to see more details of you and Shemar, as you two were made for each other in the movie. I personally love seeing black men really love, befriend and respect black women...I don't think it happens often enough. As an amateur performing critic (my daughter is a senior Theatre major at Temple University), I'd say you are due an Oscar. Although I am older, I spent some time acting in school myself. I watched your body language as you exchanged lines, and even Shemar's hands. After a while, I believed you two were serious about each other. Does this ever happen while acting? As funny as the movie is, it seems equally real. Again thank you for being such a beautiful lady allowing us to once again be entertained with good and clean roles!!! Comment on this...

| by cheryl jones kimberly, I think you are one gifted and talented young black sister who deserve to win an oscar. You are just 6 months older then me. However, I am looking forward to you making more black movies and would also like to see you playing in some of the talented writer Terry McMillian up coming movies in the near future. You and Mrs.Cisely Tyson resembles eachother. Are you related. I wish you much happiness. I would also like to see you play in a movie with Angela Bassett, another great actress. However, I was born in 1967 and have two kids, now divorce and a single parent living with Lupus, and my son has schizophenia I would like to see you playing a black female living with Lupus or dealing with a 19 year old son and his mental illness. I could be a great help in writing. Comment on this... | ||||

by lawyergirl-Michigan I must have just seen a re-run of Girlfriends and had to get on the internet to see if you were dead. I thought to myself that is Denzel's wife (in another movie) and I had no idea that you are/were dead. I am happy that you are alive and well. That episode really put things into perspective. I had a rough day (month) and was just having trouble getting up. To hear 1 in 3 black women have AIDS got me back on track and made me more grateful for my little "rough" life. Thank you, you are an excellent actress-excelllent actress and thanks again for the message. Comment on this...

by Pegan OKay so I am still in the dark on this whole thing. Kimberly Elsie is alive and well that I understand, my question is-was 'Reesie Jackson' just a character or was the role based on the real life of a black woman who died from AIDS? You would think that there would be information on the actual Reesie Jackson if she was a real person, especially after all the questions raised by the episode of Girlfriends but who knows? If anyone can enlighten me please do. Thanx much! Comment on this...

by Tura I honestly thought that I was losing my mind the first and second time that I saw that episode of Girlfriends. I am glad to now know that I am not and upon seeing it for the third time after seeing Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Woman Thou Art Loosed a million or so times I am no longer confused and this website helps. I thought Reesie was indeed a real person but I guess the message they were trying to convey is just as they said on the show black women are dying and their is more that we can do if we stop standing by and allowing anything to go on with anybody in our bedrooms and for those of us who have what are supposed to be the men who love us carrying this home to us we have to wake up and start paying more attention to what's going on and be in charge of our own well being and stop waiting for them to do it. Peace and Love yall Peace and Love. DA DIVA Comment on this...
