| by Gail Johnson The first time I saw Melissa was in "The Best Man". And, the first thing I though when I saw her was that she remine me of a young Pam Grier. The kind of vibes I was getting was a quick, moody, spoil brat. However, someting else was there too. But to tell you the truth I like her. She look good. Then I saw her again in "Miss Congeniality". Again, I pick up on the some of the same vibes. It was like she was telling something of herself. Again, she look good. Tonight, 1/23/03, I just finish reading (Essence-February) a short write up on "Cali's Angels in Biker Boyz". Where she plays King's queen for the night. Again she give off strong vibes. But this time the vibes I'm geting are strong, independent, a fighter that is willing to do what ever it takes (within means) to get the job done. In the picture she looks a little thin. But, she looks good. Personally, I hope she dosent fall into a stereotype. I would like to see her develope into a good actor. Doing different leading roles. Such as a sicentist, native american, maybe some martial arts, or a well known teacher who made a difference. She has a lot of potential that I hope dosent go to waste. Comment on this... |
