Campbell began his career by starring in, and executive producing The Evil Dead, which was directed by his high school friend, Sam Raimi. The success of their low-budget horror film led to two sequels: Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn and Army Of Darkness. They teamed up again with Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, in which Campbell created the ‘King Of Thieves' character and helmed multiple episodes of the hit syndicated series. He continued to reprise his role in Xena: Warrior Princess.
Campbell can currently be seen in the hit film Spider-Man, and was also recently featured in Frank Darabont's The Majestic. His earlier feature credits include Running Time, Escape From L.A., Congo and the Coen brothers' The Hudsucker Proxy.
Most recently, he starred in Studio USA's syndicated swashbuckler, Jack Of All Trades. Some of his other television credits are FOX's The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., a recurring role on Ellen and NBC's Homicide: Life on the Street. In addition, he starred in the telefilms Tornado!, In the Line of' Duty: Blaze of' Glory and Disney's Gold Rush: A Real Life Alaskan Adventure.
