| by Angry Asian Chick I too remember that PI episode when Maher downplayed the severity of racial slurs against Asians. He never would have dared to say the same of racial slurs against blacks. He had on an Asian rights leader, but had several other guests to outnumber him. They, including Maher, took turns talking over him and mocking him for taking slurs against his people seriously. Cowardly, narrowminded, racist, and an all around jerk. He may not be a complete fool, he obviously is educated and opinionated, but he is also obviously one of those people who cannot see beyond his own narrow experiences and accepted public opinion. Had he done any research on the institutionalized persecution of Asians throughout this nations history perhaps he would have afforded us with the same courtesy he gives freely to other minorities. Instead he ranted like a man who speaks not to have a true debate but only for the love of hearing himself talk. Comment on this... |
