| by Richard Helms I used to like Barbra until she said the f word at one of her concerts about 4 days ago. How could she let a word like that come out of her mouth in front of thousands of people. I don't agree with her political thoughts either. She needs to shut her trap and be greatful for what she has. President Bush is one of the best Presidents we have and she oviously can't see the great work her has done. It wouldn't be an easy task after 9/11. His doing the best he can. I mean would you you rather a President who lies to the fine people of America. I am talking about Clinton of course. Streisand must stop all this and just do what she has done for decades. | by Henry C can barbra just give politics a rest i mean cum on, her fans like her coz of her voice and acting talents. shes recruiting her fans to be a part of this anti-bush hoohaa as we speak. shes now getting a little extreame as well like at her touring concert show in new york city i think it was. she puts politics in a show for people who just want to hear her sing. i tell you she won't stop until she becomes president. she got so much talent but no thats not good enough is it. she wants the whole world in the palm of her hand. she doesn't deserve to live in the fine counrty of america. if she doesn't like it then go to canada where all the other losers live. | by jane duncan i am a big fan of barbra but i am getting sick and tired of her whole anti-bush thingy. i heard about what happened in one of her concert tour shows. shame on her for wasting the fans time going on about politics. these people paid good money to listen to her wonderful voice and she says the f word to a bush inpersonator. if my children were at that concert and i heard her swear in front of them, i would throw her into a conserntration camp. Just because she has power it doesn't mean she should spread rotten remarks on what this country has become and its president. Is she doing this because she is patriotic or because she wants to be in the headlines? She has the power to manipulate her fans into joining the Anti-Bush campaign. Some people should just think for themselves what is right because if her fans are going to be on her side, its not going to be because what is right, its because they are on the side of their idol. | by Gil Barbra Streisand's tour concert in NY was shocking. Why did that crazy woman agree to make fun of politics and George W Bush. Not only that but she expressed her feelings with the F word in front of a G rated audience. The fans had every right to be silent. This woman needs to stop getting in the way of politics and stick to what she does best: singing. Some people hate Bush and some people don't but either way it doesn't matter. | by Jordan Marks I am a huge fan of Barbra Streisand and have been for almost 10 years. I admire her for her acting, singing, producing & directing. Ms Streisand has done it all except go to the moon. Her songs have really touched me and brought so much joy into my life. I love that song with you and Bryan Adams, 'I Finally Found Someone'. It's just a beautiful song. I also love 'Comin' in & Out of Your Life', 'My Man', 'Guily w/Barry Gibb' and one of the great duets on my list 'Tell Him w/Celine Dion'. Celine is another favourite of mine & it was such a joy to hear those two wonderful voices become one. I would love it if Ms Streisand did another song with Celine because they sound & look so good together. Barbra is fantastic is 'Funny Girl', 'Whats's up Doc?','The Mirror Has Two Faces' & I absolutely love 'the Prince of Tides'. One of my favourite films of all time. Because of Ms Streisand I have great respect for the Jewish Community and has made me a better person throughout the years and I very greatful for that. Comment on this... |

I've learned the painful truth that those of us who make the biggest noise about someone else's shortcomings( a VERY public figure as Ms. Streisand),most of what we attack are our OWN shortcomings..all the plus and minus about this great woman are SO very pointless in the long run.. Let us be gracious enough to celebrate her indelible gift of her art and honest enough to own up to whatever human-ness Ms. Streisand displays that could be any one of us! Comment on this... |

Okay, so I don't agree with your views on abortion or the president...whatever, right? What I DO agree with you on is taking what rightfully belongs to YOU! EVERGREEN: (love theme from 'A Star is Born'- 1976- And this is FOR THE RECORD.......****WORDS AND MUSIC BY BARBRA STREISAND****. Thing is, for years I've been furious at you for taking full verbal credit for the lyrics as well as for the music. Truth is, you deserve full credit. Never let it be said you didn't take advantage of an opportunity when it was presented to you. Supposedly, and I mean SUPPOSEDLY, Paul williams was listed, legally, as the lyricist for the song, but he has yet to contradict the assertion that you wrote the whole thing. Well, the ship has sailed on any hopes of his retrieving the 'moral' ownership of any part of that song. You staked a claim to it when he didn't. It's yours. I realize I'm telling you something that you're already well aware of. I just wanted the opportunity to make a public declaration of it.
