I Keep Watching This Sporting Lift (Sat Apr 26, 2008 10:27pm ET)report post
by Jennie M.
My heart really beats for handsome Irishman Richard Harris every time I watch him in This Sporting Life. Since I got the DVD last week I keep on watching it and my pulse beats fast the moment his handsome face appears on the screen. He is so brawny looking in a snuggly way I wish I could just jump into the movie, run up to him and cuddle my head on his brawny masculine chest (sigh!) and root him on at his rugby games! This is going to be one of my favorite Richard Harris flicks for life.

Oh, and just to let all Richard Harris fans out there know not only would I want to be his girl in This Sporting Life but also I would give anything to be his queen in Camelot.

A Gorgeous and Talented Actor Was Richard Harris (Mon Apr 14, 2008 6:55pm ET)report post

I first discovered Richard in one of my
father's favorite films, Camelot. He
was a very talented singer and actor
and not only do we have the movie we
have the soundtrack of Camelot with
all the songs he sang. I then discovered a picture of him in a movie
catalog in the movie This Sporting Life and my heart fell for him. I can't wait to see it. I ordered it a couple of days ago. He was the most
gorgeous Irishman I have ever seen in my life and I am only 28. I miss him too.

I just saw This Sporting Life and I
have to say Richard Harris was amazing
in it. He gave a knockout performance
and I was dazzled by his handsome, rugged looks. Personally, though, I think his character could have done
much better than falling for ugly,
bxtchy widow Rachel Roberts. She wasn't
pretty or nice at all! But Rich was the total joy of the whole movie.

Hi,

From what I understand, Mr. Harris had been battling cancer for quite some time. I want to say cancer of the liver, but I'm not exactly sure.

He was my favorite actor of all time. I fell in love with him at the age of 10 (I'm 48 now) and I can't believe he is gone. He will live in my heart forever.

Hope this helps.

Susan

I JUST FOUND THIS WEBSITE. I TOO FELL IN LOVE WITH RICHARD HARRIS AND I WAS 11. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO MEET HIM IN PERSON IN 1987. HE WAS WONDERFUL AND CHARMING AND GAVE ME A HUG AND A KISS WHICH I TREASURE TO THIS DAY. I AM ALSO LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE IT ON VIDEO TAPE. WHEN HE DIED, THAT BIT OF MAGIC IN MY LIFE WAS GONE. I WAS JUST IN LIMERICK, IRELAND THIS PAST WEEK AND WENT TO THE PUB, "CHARLIE ST. GEORGE" WHICH WAS A FAVORITE OF HIS AND THEY HAD A WALL DEDICATED TO HIM WITH PICTURES, ETC. I WENT TO LIMERICK JUST TO FIND THAT PUB AND WAS SUCCESSFUL. I MISS HIM AS HIS ANNIVERSARY APPROACHES ON THE 25TH OF THIS MONTH. RIP DEAR RICHARD. Sad
