| | The Mist collectors edition. | |
Just loved this movie. Bible thumper is a real convincing act. Painful end. I actually rented it a few times before purchasing. Love Thomas Jane and King so the purchase was inevitable.

This is what movies are all about! It's gripping, suspenseful, eerie. I rent movies and easily get distracted if the movie is boring or stupid. This movie was so worth watching, I preferred to hold my piss until the movie was finished. I didn't even know my wife was sitting next to me during the film. I highly recommend it to anybody. The ending is shocking, however, the movie has a message and not just a brainless sci-fi thriller with cool special effects. Great cinematography, excellent casting, and pretty original. I read some negative reviews here but I'm afraid this movie was actually a lot better than what I read. Thanks Stephen King because now I want to buy it. Classic film work for me.
November 23, 2008 | | I hated this movie. I hated, hated, hated this movie. HATED it. | |
This is among the worst movies I have ever seen. The characters are stupid and one-dimensional; the concept too absurd for any suspension of disbelief, and the story goes from dull to violent to absurdly dull. The 'surprise ending' is totally predictable given the cruelty with which the storyline treats all of the characters. I would rather have sinus surgery than sit through this miserable piece of detritus ever again.
Thanks to Roger Ebert for my subject line
November 17, 2008I am always devided when it comes to book to movie adaptions as alot of times they ravage the story. But overall I was plesantly surpized with this latest Stephan King story brought to celluoid. The effects are done well considering, the plot is very suspenciful (fear of the unknown), and the premise of how the mist/whats in the mist came to be is not explained but briefly suggested at and very interesting. I love movies that leave you thinking and captivated ie: 28 Days/Weeks Later and the Mist is no exception. Over all a great movie, this one will leave you captivated and looking over your shoulder and staying away from dark corners for days to come. Great Job!
November 17, 2008Please. King sometimes delivers but this was a stinker. A survival movie where the hero kills everyone but himself in the end? Don't bother even renting it.
