I Love This Film

I love this film. I have seen "Country Remedy" and want two copies to give as gifts. It is story about grief and transformation. I laughed and cried - the characters are so real. The story is beautiful and the mountain setting is beautiful. This is the kind of story you want to see again and to share. July 22, 2008

Great Film - Touching Character Journeys

This is a touching indie movie, perfect for when you need a break from all those action blockbusters and want to watch a movie centered around characters & their personal journeys. The N. Carolina mountain scenery is an ideal place for the main character Dr. Gibbs (Cameron Bancroft)and his son to face up to their grief over the loss of their wife/mother. The colorful characters of the community add humor and warmth to the story. Actress Bellamy Young is pitch perfect from her character's first encounter with the Dr. Gibbs. The payoff at the end of the film is emotional and powerful. I definitely recommend this film! May 9, 2008

Excellent Family Movie

The DVD, Country Remedy, is an excellent family movie. It is really a "feel good" movie. I would especially recommend this movie for those in Western North Carolina. April 29, 2008
