No acting, no script, and no point. July 31, 2008
| mindless entertainment |
Fans of the Hong Kong gangster genre will recognize this as a knock off of John Woo & Chow Yun-fat plots. For instance there are elements of "A Better Tomorrow". The shootout scenes are derivative of Chow except Chow has grace and panache which is lacking here.
Olyphant's dead pan delivery doesn't work well. It's like a 17 year old geek trying to sound like the Terminator. July 27, 2008
| very good in spite of the fact that it is nonsensical in parts |
