rating: 3 if it ain't broke don't fix it
the whole purpose of my buying bh90210 is to walk down memory lane. it's hard to do that when the musics been changed and scenes have been cut out. so far i've noticed several things. "greek to me" they cut out the scene where the girls are at the ceremony and andrea has on her star of david, then leslie walks by and looks at her all crazy. also in "twenty years ago today", "what the world needs now" was playing. i hate it when theses people mess with the music in tv box sets. the music is what paints the picture and reminds you of a particular moment. rating: 3 LOVE THE SHOW - THE DVD WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT
Okay, I have been a huge fan of 90210 since it first debut. I even had every episode on VHS, most of which were taped on their original air dates. I love the show and I think each season was different and good for their own reasons. I think that after Brenda left the show did go downhill. Even if you don't like Shannen, she is a good actress and the character of Brenda brought a lot to the show. Nonetheless, I still liked the show after she left, just not as much. Season 4 is great. I am not going to write a long drawn out review of the season because a lot of other reviewers have already done that. These reviews are supposed to be partly about the DVD itself and I have a huge problem with it, which is the only reason I only gave it 3 stars. Did anyone else notice that they cut out huge scenes from some of the episodes, namely the episode where they go out for the Greek life. They completly cut out the end, as well as a section in the middle where Aundrea wore her Star of David to the Candle Light Ceremony. It took a lot away from the episode. I have not watched the whole set yet, but hope that they don't cut anymore important or any scenes out. It was disappointing. May 2, 2008

Season from of 90210 continues Kelly and Dylan's relationship. Dylan finds out a secret from his past that ultimately changes him. The Kelly/Dylan/Brenda love triangle continues and Dylan's relationship with Kelly faces new challenges. Meanwhile, Donna goes through a lot this season, too. It's a great season. April 2, 2008

rating: 4 The End of the Brenda Years
Ok, this is it-No more Brenda. To me, the show begins its decline once she leaves. I can't believe how many people hate this character-she was so honest and straight-forward. In the early episodes Dylan was a little bit of a wimp with her and she takes advantage, but COME ON-Kelly was a mega-bitch who stole her boyfriend and then got jealous whenever they were in each others company-it is very apparent in season four. Brenda and Dylan had the best chemistry by far. Being a fellow Class of '93 myself-my friends and I were obessed with the first three seasons-I even used to tape them on VCR tapes back in the day. Now I can own the DVDS!! However, my collection stops with season four-I can't even look at "Valerie" and Claire is soooooooooo annonying!! How the show survived six more seasons without Brenda is beyond me!!
So enjoy what I call the "End of the Brenda Era" and the slow death of 90210.

rating: 4 Not as memorable as the high school years, but still a gem.
First of all, it is monumentally difficult to transition a group of teen characters from high school to college but 90210 manages to do it and do it well even. New experiences and adjustments, but still those touches of nostalgia and close-knit group moments. Kelly and Dylan's relationship hits one bump after another before finally going bust, Brandon tries to find his place in politics and with an older woman, Donna is rather charming this season but still has yet to star in her own major storyline, and while all this is nice and good, the real issue in Season 4 seems to be What are we going to do with Brenda? Too much drama around Brenda Walsh (God love her, she's a great TV character!) without the softer moments to add some sympathy. But she sure knows how to get people talking, doesn't she?!? That's exactly what 90210 was looking to do- keep the buzz around them any which way they could. Say what you will about her, the show lost its focus severely after Brenda left the scene, she sort of helped to define the female side of this show without letting it get too soapy or cynical. In terms of storytelling, Season 3 is full of everything and enjoyable, in terms of forging new paths and maturing the characters, Season 4 is good, not great, but good. March 14, 2008
