I have loved Forbidden Broadway since seeing it several times when it was still performed at Pallson's Upstairs in NYC. The recordings are great fun, some better than others. This is not the best, but it is definitely good. For anyone who is familiar with the theatre scene, listen and enjoy. July 16, 2008

I found this CD to be a real disappointment. With the exception of the crucifixion of Spring Awakening (deservedly) and the take on the recent revival of Company (brilliant!!), most of the rest of the parodies don't hold up too well without the visuals. This is the first in the series that I have found lacking, all of the previous FB cast recordings are hysterically funny. There are a couple of additions at the end of the CD, for instance the take on Yoko Ono is deliciously nasty, as is the parody of Christina Applegate in Sweet Charity, that come across as acerbically witty as usual in this series. But all in all, I think you need to see the current production live to appreciatte this recording. June 10, 2008

Utterly fabulous. Great singing, brilliant comedy and very slick. If you buy one you're gonna wanna own them all. May 19, 2008

Any true theatre lover is sure to appreciate this spoof of current and past Broadway offerings. From "Spring Awakenings" to a dead-on Patti Lupone number, this is a CD that must be added to your collection. April 7, 2008

I am a long-time "Forbidden Broadway" fan and have seen most of the productions. I loved them one and almost all. This one I don't love. Instead of being funny, I found it to be nasty, mean-spirited and lacking in the love for musical theater that the others so successfully spoofed. Its humor is hard, heavy handed and, at times, mindless. I have listened to this CD five times and am ready to use it as a frisbee or toss it in the trash. It is not worth keeping in my collection. "Forbiddy Broadway Strikes Back" is by far the best, the funniest and the most clever of the "Forbidden Broadway" collection. This chapter in no way approaches the amazing talent level of the other editions. Maybe its there was so little material to spoof. I don't know. I wanted it to be funny. It was not...at least to me.
