I'm a decade too late for the Bratz dolls. When I was a little girl, I was stuck with Barbie/Sindy (the latter being the boring one), and very thrilling they were indeed. They were all blonde. I was brunette. I wanted to be Barbie, and have Ken (even though he had nothing in the pants area to interest me, some realism please). I grew out of Barbies quite quickly, and then, in my twenties, I got into Bratz. I only own four, but they're the best ones. Not only are the Bratz in a far superior world to Barbie, they have different colours of hair, which is a must for me.

So along comes the Bratz movie, and I got it for my birthday (after being teased something rotten for wanting it). When I got round to watch it, I found myself lost in a world of high school, cheerleaders, and friends. Within the first half an hour, the Bratz girls (Cloe, Jade, Sasha, and Yasmin) have gone to high school, joined their separate cliques, and lost each other's friendship. This bit almost had me in tears, as they grew apart really quickly. But only to meet up again after two years, and wonder why they threw away their friendship.

My favourite Bratz doll was always Jade. I loved the black hair. So it seems to be that my favourite Bratz girl in the move was Jade (played by Janel Parrish), with the kooky dress sense, blue hair extensions, wicked clothes, and wicked all over. I loved Yasmin (Nathalia Ramos) as well, I wasn't so keen on Cloe (Skyler Shaye) however, she just didn't seem to have a big part in the movie. And Sasha's (Logan Browning) storyline was really predictable.

If it hadn't have been for films such as High School Musical, Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants, Mean Girls and many others, I doubt Bratz would have even got the green light. But now I can see it all - there's a whole line of sequels that could happen.

In my opinion, Bratz was an excellent movie. I'm the wrong age group to enjoy it, I've been out of high school for many years now, but I still identified with the characters, and was left absolutely buzzing when it finished. It's a brilliant film, and definitely one I will watch again and again when I need cheering up. It's the perfect movie for that. April 28, 2008

Although the Bratz are a wonderful product line, the
movie wasn't. The story line itself is okay, but how
the director presented it wasn't all that great. The 2
songs at the end was a terrible way to close the movie.
Maredth's song was all about her being so great, and the
Bratz was about their style and how everyone loves them.
The one part of when they will see eachother over 2 years
is also kind of pointless, because when they see eachother
they don't know how to react to eachother, thus causing
Maredth to make them start the food fight, another pointless
part (except for the fact it makes the girls better friends
again). On a side note, the girls don't even act their
age, and do all sorts of "little" girl things, IN PUBLIC!
This is just my opinion, but I'm sure many people see what I mean. February 20, 2008

I really liked this movie. I'm not saying that they (the screenwriters, etc) did not stereotype a lot, and that they concentrated too much on fashion and beauty, but instead of looking at those things look at the two things it does teach: we can all learn new things, and we can work as a team.
I don't like how they made fashion and beauty such a big thing, but let's face it: the world treats beautiful people nicer. It always has. January 30, 2008

At fist I thought this movie might be a little cheesy but after watching it I was quit surprised. I bought this movie for my daughter for Christmas. It really teaches the true value of frienship. I would consider it for any young daughter who play with Bratz. January 22, 2008
