I'd already seen this on HBO, so I knew what to expect. This is a great miniseries, and with Amazon the price is always right. Thanks again Amazon, I'd buy anything from your site. July 23, 2008

I watched this on HBO and loved it. I purchased the DVD set for my dad for fathers day. He liked it so much he watched the entire series over a weekend. The acting is great and it really follows the biography well. Enjoy! July 22, 2008

This is an EXCELLENT series! Not only is it well acted, it is historically correct--something that's a rarity nowadays. Anyone who enjoys history, loves our country or desires to know what all went into the founding of our country will want to see this series.

Wonderfully done; informative & entertaining. A strong choice for viewing in classrooms across America. July 22, 2008

rating: 5 QuoteA well done, gritty view of our historyQuote
This well done adaptation of David McCullough's biography of the same title leaves out a few scenes that would have lent a bit more insight into the early years of our republic. However the verisimiltude is outstanding, right down to bad teeth in old age for people living in that time. This mini series should be required viewing for all Intro to American History classes, both in high school and in college. Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney become their roles, no higher praise is possible in my opinion.Russian Amerika July 22, 2008
