Slacker actress Jane F is having a bad day that is getting more outrageous by the minute. Jane s misadventures begin when she treats herself to a batch of cupcakes left unattended by her psycho roommate (Danny Masterson) that prove not as innocent as they appear. She then bums a ride from her roommate s friend (John Krasinski)and attempts to cross town so she can repay an unforgiving drug dealer attend an audition and somehow replace the precious cupcakes. Okay, so she doesn't act like a real pothead. (I'm trusting other reviewers here. I haven't smoked in a long time.) So what? She's funny!
As for the movie having an "anti-pot" message, I don't think so. She makes a mess of things, and it has a slightly downer ending, but nothing in the tone of the movie suggests that it disapproves of her in any serious way, except that she's a screw-up. In fact, the straight characters are all portrayed much more negatively than her.
Anyway... the main thing is I laughed. And I think you will, too.
