Playboy: Tryouts (2007)

From sun-soaked Tampa to Denver's snowy peaks, we traveled far off the usual modeling hot spots in search of stunning beauty, and did we find it! Girls next door hungry to be transformed into household names bared it all across America, with additional stops in Cleveland, Sacramento, San Antonio and Kansas City. Springing from her California college campus to the centerfold pages of our February 2007 issue was local knockout Heather Rene Smith, a gymnast who scores a perfect "10" in our book!

Almost perfect!

I ordered this vid with another (which I would rather forget). I was disappointed with the other one, but this vid from Playboy was pretty great. It's nothing but amateur girls trying to get into playboy. The video and camera work is amateur as well, but that's not a knock against the vid, it's actually a plus because they get it right. High quality video cameras are used (digital?) for great clarity, but they retain that amateur camcorder feel. This vid's strength lies in it's use of amateur girls and the sheer quantity they use. There are tons of girls in this vid, from all over the country. Blondes, brunettes, ethnic girls, fitness girls, busty girls (real and fake), they're all here! Each girl is only shown for a few minutes, so each scene is brief, but that allows for more girls, and that's a good thing. Each tryout starts with the girl removing all her clothing and posing for the camera, that's it, but it's very effective. Conversations and natural sounds are left in, so we learn that some of these girls are posing for the first time, which is exciting! My only complaint is that there are very few shots down south and the ones we get are quick, but playboy rarely gives us much in that department any way, so it's no real surprise. I was hoping with an amateur vid like this that they would have went for it, but no. Still, a great vid and a must for any amateur vid fan. September 7, 2008

and remove your clothes. This is what it is- tryouts for Playboy. Now that Playboy is on the web as well as in print, that creates a big need for models. Not like the olde days where "only 12 women a year" get into Playboy. This DVD shows what goes in a typical tryouts. If you like variety and no long winded speeches on how "posing nude made me more mature", then this DVD is a good buy. March 25, 2008
