What?!

Seriously? Seriously people enjoyed this? Apparently my standards are really too high because besides the god awful acting and accents it really did not do the characters of nora roberts' book justice. a decent book turned into a waste of time movie. i couldn't even stand to watch it through. The DVD arrived when scheduled and in great condition. I really enjoyed Carolina Moon, suspense thriller. I have like all of Nora Roberts books/movies. March 26, 2008

Nora Roberts Fan

Having already read the book, I was expecting to be disaapointed, but I wasn't. The lead characters were true to the characters in the book and so were the supporting characters. I thought Wade was a bit dorky, but it didn't detract from the movie.
As with all adaptations, there needed to be some rationalisation of characters and it was very well done. The important aspects of the characters that were dropped were inherited by someone else and it worked well.
This is a movie that would be enjoyed whether you had read the book or not. It's easy to follow - not too convoluted and even though it's a romance, there's still some intrigue in the solving of the murder.
I loved it and would recommend it, regardless of whether you are a Nora Roberts fan. February 24, 2008

This is a very good mystery. Claire Forlani plays an excellent part in this "down South" thriller. 8 out of 10 February 5, 2008

Nora Roberts finally getting her due!!

I've been reading Robert's books for years (her J.D. Robb series as well), so I was ecstatic to see that they'd brought her to television. Finally some feel-good romance in with the gangsta wannabe's and teen drama, and her books always have a good plot, so not the transparent norm. As for the movie itself, well "based off" is right as there are several things altered or switched around, but they did a pretty good job getting the feeling across, though it did feel a little rushed in places. My question however is: as I don't like to watch movies on my computer, is it permissable to burn them onto dvd and watch them on my tv (I don't have Tivo)? I think offering digital media is great as it will allow us access to movies we'd normally not be able to purchse, but to be honest, I'm little hesitant to buy something that would be gone if my pc ever went kuput and I didn't have a hard copy of it. If someone knows of a link where I can simply purchase the dvd, let me know please!! January 13, 2008
