8mm in True Anamorphic Widescreen

This is simply not true. The 8mm film was transferred anamorphic 16x9 using a Cintel DSX telecine machine with a DeVinci 2K color corrector. So, this is real widescreen, not just a sloppy crop. How do I know? I was there when the film was being converted to widescreen. August 3, 2008

WideScreen rip-off

Have you ever seen 8mm in CinemaScope ? To achieve this marvelous widescreen effect, the producers of this DVD simply covered the top and the base of the images with two black bars. So most of the time the interesting things are cut !
This is the stupidest thing I ever seen. Do not buy this rip-off ! February 29, 2008
