Virginia (2005)

Griffin is the boyfriend of a drug addict. Ginny is her daughter. The two find themselves stuck with one another after her mother leaves them with a goodbye letter. Griffin, feeling he was left with a responsibility he doesn't want, decides that Ginny would be "better off" with her biological father. Together they set out for California, her father's last known address, and find themselves on a journey that leads them through some tough nieghborhoods and the seedy underworld of Los Angeles. Ginny, feeling hopeless and unwanted, has already lost her mother and now faces the loss of the only father figure in her life. Griffin, tough but protective, must come to grips with his feelings for Ginny. They have nothing to lose... except each other.

What an adorable pair

Your heart only goes out to the little girl whose mother abandoned her and whose father never owned up to his responsibility. I would rate it five stars if the suspense was tighter, but give it four for a good plot. There could have been a little more emotion as well. I'm sure that Paige Hurd could have pulled off some tears. But then again, what would one expect from a survivor-type juvenile but to be tough.

Good recommendation if you're looking for a little drama and suspense but it's no "Lean On Me" drama.

powerful and believable !

My girlfriend got me Virginia on DVD .

This is one of those Movies that few have heard about, but should certainly see .The acting is so powerful and believable .
