About Ullasa Paravaigal
Kamal a rich business mans son was the sole heir to all of his fathers wealth and business. Kamal was a well educated man who was also a foreign retun. All of a sudden one day he starts behaving oddly when ever he hears the word fire or sees fire he loses consciousness and acts violently. When his father asks him to visit a doctor he refuses to accept. but his father feared that Kamal was going crazy decides to send him for treatment abroad and in order to make him accept to go, lied to Kamal saying the treatment is actually for his childhood friend Rajan. Believing this Kamal takes his friend abroad. Where with the help of Rathi a family friend of Kamals, Rajan explains the reason for their visit and convinces him to accept treatment. During treatment they find out that the reason for his phobia is- when he went to his native village he fell in love with a village girl and that she had been burnt alive by her uncle and also that Kamal was poisoned during that time.
