I loved this movie when I first saw it in 1988, and I still love it today. I watch it every Christmas - which may say something about me. I don't already have to say to the legions of Die-Hard fans just how good this movie is, so I will comment on the DVD.

This is the best DVD, and hint, hint, if you look at the special features, you will see there is a longer version of the movie! Granted its only 5 minutes and because the footage was never used, it does not have the "finished" look of the rest of the film, but its a great few minutes none the less - especially if you like Alan Rickman.

I am hoping for a 20th anniversary edition, but hey, I shall enjoy this one immensely for many Christmases to come! August 21, 2008

Every so often,a film comes along that resets the standard for it's genre.Die Hard did just that very thing for action films. Any film that inspires copycats and wannabes really does it's job well.Bruce Willis made a very successful transition from the small screen to the big screen as the everyday Joe forced into being the hero. This film has all the necessary ingredients to qualify it as a great action film. All you have to do is see it for yourself. Particularly well done is the performance of Alan Rickman as the chief villain, Hans Gruber. You can come up with good arguments for many action films as to which is the best all time, and this one is no exception.Well done. August 20, 2008

Best Action Movie EVER! Bruce Willis killing terrorists and the guy who played Carl Winslow on Family Matters? How could it be bad? July 26, 2008

I am so horrified by this movie that I cannot watch it! I saw it when I was a kid and liked it. But looking at it now, it makes me so upset!

Just look at the cover! Doesn't it look like the World Trade Center just after the planes smashed into them? Yeah, I know it's just 1 building, but the angle of the building is just creepy!! Okay, the movie was good; lots of blood and swear words, but I just can't get the images of the Twin Towers falling down like a building collapsing with explosives!! They should have a warning on the cover, saying something like:

THIS IS NOT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER ON FIRE! THIS IS ONLY A MOVIE!

I would like the movie more if they changed the box. But as it is, I can't watch it!! July 23, 2008

The movie itself still rocks. The Blu-Ray edition only has a lot of different commentaries for extras - no bloopers and deleted scenes, but it's still worth the money. June 11, 2008
