Shaan

Shaan is a story of youthful adventure, love and romance and the incredible world of crime that can exist in a 20th Century no-man island. It is also a story of the splendour of human spirit of the triumph of Man's quest for justice and for law and order. Shiv Kumar (Sunil Dutt) is a brave and dedicated police officer who is assigned a special mission of putting an end to the activties of an arch criminal Shakaal (Kulbhushan Kharbanda). Shiv Kumar's main target is Shakaal - and Shakaal succeeds in trapping Shiv Kumar in his island for tress and liquidating him. The death of Shiv Kumar triggers of a complete change of personality in his brothers Vijay (Amitabh Bchchan) & Ravi (Shashi Kapoor) who, with the help of the information supplied by their friend Abdul (Mazharkhan), a destitute cripple. Vijay & Ravi, hunting for the evil genius Shakaal, are joined by another young man Rakesh (Shatrughan Sinha), who too has a personal score to settle with Shakaal.They all manage to reach the island and penetrate the impregnable fortress of the human monster. But the crime king Shakaal has more than one trick up his sleeve. He presses a hidden button which triggers off a chain of events and the battling against heavy odds. In the under water, the Battle Royal has begun.
