This film helps to make the story of Jigsaw even more complex. A great addition to the franchise. Nothing is ever simple in the Saw series and this installment is no exception. Horror fans should be pleased. These films seem to be very "fluid" in continuity, film style and feel. Many other filmmakers could learn from that alone. Highly recommended. May 5, 2008

When I first heard of this movie back when the first one came out, I thought it was another "TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE"
Then when I saw it for the first time I was surprised, it was a fresh new idea for horror.
A horror movie that let you choose your destiny, in most cases the odds were stacked against the people that had to choose how much physical pain they could go through to free themself from whatever trap Jigsaw had put them in, and most the time they just ran out of time.
I guess what kept me watching is that this could happen in real life.
This movie didn't have unbelievable scenes in it like "HALLOWEEN" or "FRIDAY THE 13TH" or even "NIGHTMARE ON ELMSTREET".
I think SAW is the new generation of horror flicks, and JIGSAW is quietly becoming the new ICON of horror movies.
I rate this Movie a 10 from 1to10, One of the best horror flick in the 21st Century!! March 2, 2008

Saw III basically just sucked. It was a little less than predictable, but only because it really seems to drift for a long time. It's got ADD bigtime. It feels disconnected from the other films and introduces some new characters who seem to have no relationship to the characters of 1 & 2. The characters in general, other than Jigsaw, strike me as clunky and carelessly put together. The end flashes back to things that happened three and four minutes ago. What an insult.

We learn a lot more about Jigsaw but unfortunately I was at the point that I no longer cared.

It's also much grosser which doesn't make it earn or lose any points for me; my bottom line is that it was plot less, pointless, uninteresting and had no character.

At least none of the Saw films played the "boo" card at any point. Horror does not equal startle. That's how Saw III earned it's 2 out of 5 with me. February 20, 2008

I was so disappointed with 'Saw 2' that I almost skipped this film entirely.....I'm glad I didn't. In this third installment they go back to the roots of the first film and come up with an entertaining sequel. The version I watched on cable was not extremely gory to me but, it had enough blood and aftermaths to make most gorehounds happy. This is definitely worth a look. February 12, 2008
