User Reviews
Average user review:Open Season is another in a long line of anthropomorphic 3d animation films. It really doesn't bring anything new to the table, and is full of juvenille humor.
Despite (or possibly because)of all of that, my daughter and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a fun romp through the woods that feels pretty familiar if you've watched "Over the Hedge", "A Bug's Life", "The Wild", or "Madagascar." Of course, this also made it a safe purchase as we love those movies.
The picture quality on this Blu-Ray is truly amazing. It's one of the best titles (along with "Cars" and "Chicken Little") to really show off to friends and neighbors. Every hair, leaf and feather is rendered in amazing detail. That alone can make this worth a purchase. March 25, 2008

Kids loved it!
Bought this for the kids after seeing bribes on The Movie Network.
Very good story, with funny and colorful characters. The Bear and the Deer look a bit much like Shreck and Donkey, but still.
The kids liked the bunnies being thrown away and the little bear packsac ;). Good animated film. March 11, 2008
EYE CANDY EXTRAVIGANZA
In my honest oppinion, i believe this is one of the best blu ray titles visually speaking. This is pure eye candy. I watched it this twice. The first time i was just looking at the fur and everything on screen. I had to watch it a second time for the story. Pretty good movie too. It's no Shrek but I absolutely had a good time watching it. I think Ashton and Martin are hilarious together.
One more time.....WOW, WOW, WOW. EYE CANDY. EYE CANDY. EYE CANDY. February 27, 2008
