About McMasters
In the post Civil War era, Brock Peters stars as a former slave and Union Soldier who is given half-ownership of a farm from his former master Burl Ives. However, he can't find anyone to work on the farm for him until David Carradine and his Native American tribesmen decide to help him. Peters ends up marrying Native American Robin (Nancy Kwan). Jack Palance leads the racist locals against Peters and the Native Americans, ending in a violent showdown. A frank and unwaivering look at racism after the Civil War.
