rating: 5 QuoteA MUST for any James Taylor Fan !!!!!!Quote
This dvd is a MUST for any James Taylor fan. The music is great and it's nice to see James and his family so relaxed and enjoying the show. The highlight for me is when he joins Carole King on stage - balled my eyes out - such a special moment!!!! He performs at the end and there are special moments when family members join him. A great entertaining DVD that I have watched many times in the short time that I've had it. Cheers Claire July 23, 2008

I saw this on cable, and was shocked at the number of BORING performances. They could have hired Ann Murray to do a better job than most of the performers However Sheryl Crow, Bruce Springsteen, and Keith Urban blew me away, and I bought the DVD just to see those performances.
I'd never seen Urban before, and even though he was so stoned it was embarrassing, that guy can deliver! May 28, 2008

I haven't seen the whole special. Forgive me, I'm not much of a James Taylor fan. However, Bruce Springsteen's performance of "Millworker" was one of the best things I've seen/heard on television in a long time. The problem? It's not available on CD and they even took his individual performance down off of YouTube. Thinking, "Okay, maybe I'll try the James Taylor version and see if it's any good," I went to download that. The problem is that it sucks. Bruce's version is a thousand times better and doesn't sound like easy listening. Somebody put this DVD on CD or MP3 just so I can get the one good song that James Taylor ever had anything to do with! Seriously, the song Bruce did is so good that I'm entertaining the idea of paying 18 dollars for the DVD JUST SO I CAN HAVE IT. March 12, 2008

I really enjoyed this DVD. I thought the Dixie Chicks were fantastic! They toured with JT in 2004 (I would have loved to hear them do Sweet Baby James again. All 4 together were amazing. I believe the performance is on YouTube.)

My other favorite was Keith Urban. He didn't look too into it at first, and relied on his guitar skills, but they were amazing, so I'll take it.

Alison Krauss has a beautiful voice, but it isn't my cup of tea. The best part of that performance was Jerry's dobro playing.

Bruce plays with so much passion, I could listen to him all day long.

The Sheryl Crow and Sting performances were the weak links (although Sting's intro was cute). India Arie had a beautiful voice, but it didn't work for me in this context.

The personal tributes (like Jimmy Buffet's) were some of the best parts. Thanks for great music JT!! March 9, 2008

I was really looking forward to watching this HD-DVD. The video is great, the performances are great, but I can't believe it is only offered in stereo. Who would record a concert in 2.0 sound when your shooting video in HD? There is no reason this should not have been done in 5.1 surround format. February 13, 2008
