About Hopeless Pictures: Season 1

Writer director and producer Bob Balaban delivers a biting animated parody of Hollywood at its dysfunctional best. Mel Wax (voiced by Michael McKean) is the head of the indie film studio Hopeless Pictures and spends most of his time on the phone with his inept psychiatrists Dr. Stein (Jonathan Katz natch) and the promiscuous head of development (Jennifer Coolidge). Meanwhile his hysterical wife (Lisa Kudrow) keeps the home fires aflame.System Requirements:Run Time: 166 minsFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS Rating: NR UPC: 796019796477 Manufacturer No: 79647 Product Description

This show is one of the funnier things to come along in a while- a great mockery of Hollywood show business. Jennifer Coolidge is consistently hilarious, Paul Reubens, Lisa Kudrow, and Martin Mull make appearances also. Best part of the show, however, is the psychiatrist, played by Jonathon Katz (of Dr. Katz)who has to deal with everyone's problems.

The DVD box set is definitely worth getting- the show has great re-watching value, as the jokes become more understandable and funnier as you go along. June 4, 2008
