About Lassie Come Home/Son of Lassie/Courage of Lassie
The devoted collie escapes kennel captivity (with help from young Elizabeth Taylor) and braves storms and peril to return home to Roddy McDowall in the all-time classic Lassie Come Home (Disc 1/Side A). Courage runs in the family in Son of Lassie (Disc 1/Side B), as Lassie's progeny stows away on a World War II Allied bombing run piloted by RAF airman Peter Lawford. Wartime heroics are again at the forefront in Courage of Lassie (Disc 2), starring Taylor and shot on beautiful Canadian locations.

Wonderful triple Lassie DVDs. In great condition; sound and video perfect. Great gift for young ones who enjoy animal movies.

This was my family video gift this Christmas for all my children to enjoy with their children. As a child I watched Lassie on TV faithfully and like many children of the 50's yearned for a collie dog like Lassie. These movies were before my time and so I discovered them as an adult. I was amused to see that George Cleveland (Gramps in the TV series) was in Courage of Lassie (my favorite of the trilogy). Elizabeth Taylor was enchanting as Kathy and Frank Morgan is one of my all time favorite character actors of that period. These movies are timeless as they represent sweetness, honesty and love shared between friends, family and animals. I love the sequences with the nature animals in "Courage' as it was an excercise in love and patience to film these lovely creatures without the use of digital prowess. These are films of simple values that remain in our hearts for a lifetime. I wanted my children and grandchildren to experience the simplicity of a storyline that remains visually fresh and universal. Each year I select a video that is entertaining for all ages in movieland's purest form...Lassie's adventures are true winners; for canine lovers they are a must see.

I bought it for the nursing home I work at. They will love it. I can't show it to them yet cause the boss took it home and I think she only watched the first movie, but said it was very nice. I know they are classics and are happy to have them. I received them promptly without a hassle.
Thank you so much.
