there are plenty of familiar songs and fan favorites

The official soundtrack to the documentary that chronicles the ex-Beatles transition from musician to anti-war activist and how the government attempted to silence him. The songs included are some of Lennons most political and peace driven material. You may have to actually take in the movie to understand why each song was chosen. A Nice Companion To Very Good Film

The album is not meant to be a "Best Of" compilation but, a soundtrack to the events featured in the film. as a collector of Beatles & solo material, this is a good soundtrack with a few songs not previously released.I recommend getting this album if your collector but the film is much more what the average fan should get & if need be, get this collection of songs featured in the film. Why?

I love John Lennon and ALL of his music. IF you do not own any of John's music then I suggest you buy the "Definitive Lennon" because it has more songs from his entire career. Not a bad album, no Lennon album is bad, but you can do better. Actually you should buy all of his albums becasue it is impossible to come up with the best of. Any song left off is a waste. You need to hear them all. January 9, 2007
