Average user review:| One of the best PPVs of 2006 |
Johnny Nitro VS Jeff Hardy: These two really put up some good fights for the intercontinental title; Actully made the belt seem credible again. Hated the ending though
Kane VS Umaga: Anther good feud but they had a better match on Raw.
Highlanders VS Spirit Squad: Bathroom break
Lita VS Trish: Snack break. Nice to see Trish go out on top though.
DX VS Big Show and The McMahons: Pretty good brawl. Big Show really didnt do much but it was still worth watching.
Randy Orton VS Carlito: Match of the night. Its too bad Carlito is under used by WWE but this match shows his poetinal. The end of the match was amazing!
Cena VS Edge: Cena beats Edge in a TLC match in Edge's hometown. Good move? I dont know because I dont care for either wrestler. Still a very good match.
This was one of the best 2006 PPVs, even though WWE really did a good job in 2006 on there PPVs. Highly recommended.

| best ppv of the year |
match 1. Johnny nitro(c) vs Jeff hardy
This was one of the best matches of the night. these guys work well together and this was a great opener. Both of these guys were doing high flying moves and their were alot of close falls. the only bad part was the ending. it took alot away from the match. great opener. 8.5/10
match 2. cade and murdoch(c) vs The highlanders.
Surprisingly this match was not that bad. alot of good double team moves, moslty mat base wrestling. a good match overall. 7.5/10
match 3. kane vs umaga
it was not that bad but it was the worst of the night. very slow match and it draged alot. a good ending though. 6/10
match 4. DX vs The mcmahons and the big show (hell in the cell)
The best match in their fued and a great way to end it. DX antics are classic and the mcmahons bleed pools of the blood. an all out brawl and a very funny scene with and the big show. a great match but not the best of the night. 9/10
match 5. Lita(c) vs Trish Stratus
A great way to end the career of a great diva. These two now how to wrestle and this might have been their greatest match ever. This match had alot of back and forth action and the ending is great. So long trish stratus the wwe will never forget you. 8/10
match 6. Carlito vs Randy Orton
This match wasn't that bad infact it was pretty good. these guys know how to wrestle and they showed it here. Ortons interview before the match really makes him the heel in this match and he plays it well. overall a great match. 7.5/10
match 7. John cena vs edge(c)
Best match of the night and best of the year. Edge came in as the hero in his hometown of toronto and its win or leave for cena. There were so many times that one of these two put eachother through a table I can't remember. This match was amazing and the ending was awesome. 10/10
Unforgiven 2006 was amazing. it had so many good matches a some great moments. Buy it as soon as you can it is defenitly worth it. October 4, 2007
| The best ppv of '06 to me! |
IC Championship Match
Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy
This was Jeff's return to ppv after being absent from wwe for a few years. He helped Nitro deliver a very good match. A few top rope moves and some groundbase. A pretty fast pace match. The ending was pretty cheap to me. But it did its job getting the crowd into it. 4.5/5
Kane vs. Umaga
Armando Alejandro Estrada always delivers a funny segment on the mic. And he insults the crowd and Kane by calling them dummies. The match was a pretty good fight. High impact slams and a pretty fast pace for big men. They brawled all the way outside the ring and beyond. This is when Kane and Umaga is at there best. Another good match. 4/5
Tag Team Championship
Spirit Squad vs. Highlanders
This is the only low point of the whole ppv. And it still isn't a bad match. Just next to the rest of the card, its pretty much nothin. Lots of tags and teamwork, a pretty fast pace match. 3.5/5
This is when the ppv really picks up and is so worth the purchase. These matches alone makes this a must buy.
2-on-3 handicapp match
DX vs. The Mcmahons and Big Show
This isn't the best HINC match. But its pretty close. The match was brutal and bloody from the very start. Just a vicious fight, that featured weapons and lots of offense using the cage itself. The ending was possibly one of the best I ever seen. Right now I can't think of anything better. Match of the night for me. 5/5
Womens Championship
Lita vs. Trish Stratus
I can't remember these two having a bad match given enough time. This was Trish's farewell match. The way the match went, it was clear to me Trish was going to win. I just didn't see wwe screwing two canadians on their home turf on their farewell match. A pretty good match. I just got tired of Trish's handstand move. Other than that a pretty good match with a great finish. 4.5/5
Carlito vs. Randy Orton
I didn't expect much with this. But I got a whole lot. It was pretty fast paced with some top rope moves and pretty good wrestling. The ending came so sudden and it was something to see. I really did like this match. 5/5
TLC match for the WWE Title
Edge vs. John Cena
I just have to note. That I wasn't too happy either about wwe changing history about Edge never losing a TLC match when he clearly did in 2001 on smackdown, I think it was. Because I saw it. Anyway, Edge bought out the best in Cena. And these are Cena's type of matches anyway. He stepped it up a notch and you got the usual work out of Edge. I say just about everything went well in this match. Not the best TLC ever. But it was definitly good. 5/5
A very solid ppv. This is one of my favorites and I seen it a few times already. The best of 06 is right here. To me wwe hasn't out done this ppv up to date and I own them all. This ppv is highly recommended.

Jeff Hardy vs Johnny Nitro:
A really good opening match. PPV's should always have a strong start and finish. This match accomplishes it's half of the deal. 8/10
2. Kane vs Umaga:
This match was better than I thought it would've been. That doesn't really say much about it though. It still isn't good. 5/10
3. (World Tag Team Championship)
The Highlanders vs The Spirit Squad:
The spirit squad sucks. The highlanders aren't much better. I have no clue which 2 of the 5 members of the spirit squad hold the titles. Does it even matter? A 5 on 2 handicap match really. And an average one at that. 6/10
4. (Hell in a Cell; 3 on 2 Handicap Match)
DX vs The McMahons & Big Show:
Yeah for Hell in a Cell! Brutal and really entertaining. Why aren't matches like this nowadays? Wait, it was only 7 months ago?. Yeah Hell in a Cell!! 9/10
5. (Women's Championship)
Trish Stratus vs Lita:
I don't like Woman's matches, but this is Trish's last match, so I will show it the respect it deserves. HOORAY!!!!!! 8.5/10
6. Carlito vs Randy Orton:
2 future main eventers face off in a fairly exciting match. Good match. Sweet ending. Now that..that's cool!! 7.5/10
7. (WWE Championship; TLC Match)
John Cena vs Edge:
This is a great match.Lots of back and forth action. It was a pretty long fight but it never got boring. Ladder matches have that effect on you. Match of the Night. 9.5/10
Overall: A really solid PPV. Great main event and opening match and (gasp!) the mid card doesn't suck! This is what a PPV is supposed to be like. And Raw carried it all by itself, unlike SOME other brands I could mention (Ya notice how the last 2 Smackdown main evnts had to take people from Raw to make them not suck, and also Batista didn't have to defend his title for 2 Smackdown PPVs in a row. Total BS.) A great single brand PPV. Heck, a great PPV bar none! 8.5/10 April 11, 2007
