This is one of my all time favorite movies. I have never seen this 144 minute version; my DVD is the complete 270 minute version published by Maxima Entertainment in 2005. The picture quality could be better, but it is the best way to see it. Luciano Pavorotti won an Emmy for the theme song, Caruso. January 6, 2008

Excellent movie. Originally seen on TV many, many years ago. Finally able to purchase a copy. The story of an Italian family's immigration to the U.S. and all of their sacrifices, sorrows and joys. Able to visualize my own family's immigration and early life in U.S. January 9, 2007
