One Tree Hill is something I wrote off when it first premiered on television. I thought of it as nothing more than another cheesy over-dramatized weekly High School soap opera. I wasn't wrong in all aspects of my original assumption. However, despite its subject matter, the show itself several things a soap opera is not. It is very fast-paced (especially on dvd) and well written. It can pull you in with some of the addicting story lines and the superb acting of Paul Johansson who can make you empathize with the devil.
September 30, 2008One Tree Hill is a great show. I have seen every show of every season. I didn't think I would like the show when my girlfriend first told me about it. One night it was coming on while i was channel surfing so I watched it. It didn't take long until I was hooked. So I got on Amazon and ordered the seasons that I had missed. They were all great.
September 17, 2008One Tree Hill was not my favorite show on TV after the first couple of episodes in season 1. However, it turned out to be an excellent show. Season 2 started off slow, but at the end of the season it set the stage for season 3. Big character arcs and the story line gets more and more interesting. This series really turned out surprisingly well and became something special after the first couple of episodes and season 3 is definitely well-worth watching! Highlight of seasons 2 and 3 are the musical performances which are also available on CD.
