About Punky Brewster: Season Three

Abandoned by her mother in a supermarket eight-year-old Penelope "Punky" Brewster (Soleil Moon Frye) and her trusty canine sidekick Brandon insinuate themselves into the life of grumpy widowed photographer Henry Warnimont (George Gaynes) who after some initial misgivings decides to adopt the pair. Part of the spate of early-80s sitcoms that revolved around sassy but adorable orphans (WEBSTER DIFF'RENT STROKES) PUNKY BREWSTER won over audiences with the sweetly innocent misadventures of its sartorially colorful heroine. This collection presents every episode from the series' third season.System Requirements:Running Time 601 Mins.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS Rating: NR UPC: 826663100747 Manufacturer No: D4D10074 Product Description

If you enjoy just plain down home fun this this is for you. I remember watching Punky when I was little and it never gets old. It gives you a message that sometimes helps you in life as you start growing up for youngsters and it is something you can let your kids watch without worrying if it is appropriate for them to watch. Good for kids. Wish TV shows today were more like the old days. Good, clean humor. Good for family night! May 7, 2007

Getting the chance to revisit my favorite childhood TV show, I'm really amazed at all of the deep issues Punky Brewster addressed, and how I can still remember the lessons I learned as a child. Out the 3 seasons released on DVD, I'd have to say Season 3 was my least favorite. There were a few episodes that were very moving, but as a whole, a lot of the episodes felt like "filler" episodes. The episode I was most impressed with was "The Anniversary." Seeing Cherie get healed by finally dealing with her anger and emotions brought me to tears. For every Punky Fan, I'd recommend getting this season just for the sake of having a complete collection...not for the special features or the depth of episodes! November 4, 2006
