About time

Well, its about time they put Huey Lewis' videos on DVD. What's even better is its a set with his greatest hits on CD in a jewel case instead of putting in in a larger DVD case. I wish they'd do that more often, it saves space. Unlike some compilations that drop one of your favorite songs, these are all his greatest hits on CD and his greatest videos. The only thing they could have added for a video was: "Crusin'" w/ Gwyenth Paltrow. Otherwise, they have all of Huey Lewis hits. August 31, 2008

Awesome!!!

Along with Wang Chung, these chaps were an authentic smash-hit factory during the 80's, as it gets fairly demonstrated by this album. Excepting one or two boring cuts (and also a few missing), everything else is a wonderful trip with no waste, full of memories and sounds from the past.

A delight, not only for those who adore the post-punk style, but also good for any wanting to know what the sound of the 80s was all about.

Esta recopilación esta más que excelente.

Hace unos dias visitando la tienda en linea de Amazon. Me encontre esta gran recopilacion de Huey Lewis and the News, con un DVD extra en donde vienen sus videos mas conocidos y de gran exito. Y no pude más que comprarlo. Soy un sobreviviente de los grandiosos 80's, Asi que me quedo con ansias esperando su llegada a tierras aztecas. gracias Amazon por venderlo. Y gracias a Huey Lewis and the News por esta gran recopilación de su musica. ESTA MÁS QUE EXCELENTE. July 2, 2008

The greatest CD......ever!!!!!

Who needs to read a review on this CD? Just buy it, it is the greatest CD ever made full of the greatest hits by the greatest artist of the greatest time. ITS HIP TO BE SQUARE!!!!!!!!!! November 8, 2007

Decent song solection BUT weak video selection and quality

First off, I am a huge Huey Lewis and the News fan and was lucky enough to have seen them "back in the day" as a $5 bar band in the SF Bay area. Although thought of as a pop band and dismiessed and panned by many in the music business, HLN were and still are an excellent rock and roll band. They always put on a great show and Huey Lewis, himself, is a class gentleman. They certainly belong in the R&R Hall of Fame in my opinion.

That said, the DVD portion of this release is dreadful. There are numerous ommisions such as "Back In Time" and "Some Of My Lies Are True" and "Perfect World". What is even worse is the quality of the video. I made a better copy of my HLN Video Hits using my VHS to DVD recorder! Whomever was in charge of the video portion should not pass go and not collect $200 for their work.

All in all, one can only hope for some great old stuff to get released like the live New Year's show from Japan and the remastered Video Hits collection. Thank goodness for my video to DVD recorder! If you are a true HLN fan, you have all the songs but wanted the DVD (like me). Sadly, you will be disappointed in the quality. March 5, 2007
