Michael Madsen must have been VERY hard up for cash when he agreed to appear in this stinker.."Final Reckoning" isn't even the real title..When the film is played the title is revealed as"The Theif and the Stripper",and it's entire premise seems to be structured around a busty blonde stripper who does repeated performances..the plot,such as it is ,seems an after-thought;filler to be pieced in-between the blonde's performances..Thank director-writer-"star" L.G.Brown for the rotten script,poor direction,and worse acting to be found here..The storyline,jagged and dis-connected as it is has something to do with a turf war between rival mobsters,and a metal case containing cash and a cd-rom disc containing secrets..this case just happens to fall into the hands of a doofus P.I.(Brown)out for a walk..He is chased by gangsters,runs into a strip club run by Madsen,is given a lap dance by a slender brunette stripper who thereupon becomes his co-conspirator in the matter of the case,and from this point on there are random murders,a lot of chasing,a little sex,and no real logic..Madsen,as"Jimmy D." does little more than sit at the bar of his strip club,look nasty,and dispense mob wisdom from time to time,usually in-between shots of the busty blonde stripper doing her thing.I could have made a better film than this mish-mash,and probably so could you.
