This DVD provides an excellent compilation on one of the funniest and wittiest cartoons ever created in the 60s. I would recommend this DVD to anyone of any age who enjoys a good laugh November 17, 2008

Best Classic

This is one of the best comics. I love the older cartoons that depict a little of history. These two are great and I would Highly suggest them to anyone. October 4, 2008

3 stars because of the reruns from previous releases.

If you have the seasonal sets 1, 2, & 3 like I do it is hard decision to buy this for just one new season 4 story made up of only 4 chapters. Should season 4 ever come out, this DVD would just be a poor cup coaster.

THE LAST ANGRY MOOSE - 4 chapters from season 2, already on DVD.
Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends - The Complete Second Season

THE THREE MOOSKETEERS - 8 chapters from season 3, already on DVD.
Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends - The Complete Third Season

THE GUNS OF ABALONE - 4 chapters from season 4. This is the only reason to consider this DVD as this story has not appeared on any previous VHS or Laserdisc home video release.

A better effort would me made by e-mailing Classic Media and requesting a full season 4 DVD release. It is a short season, only 19 new episodes. That would not be a big financial risk for them! Even better would be to pad out the set with the new Rocky & Bullwinkle chapters shot for the season 5 which re-ran the secondary cartoons. January 7, 2008

Great Memory

I am not a serious collector. I just bought the video to share a childhood memory with my children. We really enjoyed the videos. Would recommend to share with our babies who are accustomed to such a different form of animation. July 25, 2007

Reruns!

The Plot Summary above says this DVD includes "Fractured Fairy Tales", "Peabody's Improbable History", the "Adventures of Dudley Doright", and "Aesop and Son". It doesn't. It does contain 16 Rocky and Bullwinkle chapters, which would be well worth the price, except that 12 of the 16 chapters are already available on the Complete Season DVDs. So, the only new material you get is the four chapters of "The Guns of Abalone". For die hard fans only.
